My favorite photo of my husband, taken in New Orleans. It's true what they say about grief moving in and never leaving. I'm just hoping one day I'll be able to see it as an old friend as opposed to seeing it like that insane roommate I had when I first moved to Boston. She made me feel like I'd lose my mind, and so does the grief of missing my love. Some of the time.

Grieving takes time. But I can tell you, that eventually, you will remember the good times without the pain. I'm a widow of 13 years. My husband died when I was 24, we had been married not quite 3 years. It took time, and work, but I can now look back without tears.

Thank you. It still seems like a bad dream most of the time. He was the most amazing person. I'm very sorry for your loss, as well.

Oh Annie... He was so handsome. I am so sorry for your loss. I remember reading your introduction post on Knitty and thinkng that you sounded so sane and so healthy... if that is possible. I am sure that it really does seem like a bad dream and very unreal. Peace to you!
