Weekend Knitting Flower Washcloth

Weekend Knitting Flower Washcloth... I knit this in egyptian cotton sport weight yarn that I got on close out someplace ages ago... the pattern really is quite easy, my next one probably won't be so sloppy, but a fun and super quick project!

Progress on the Wild Stripes Baby Blanket

Wild Stripes... It's bound off, I have the backing and the piping... but I just have to sew it all together now. Fingers crossed...

LMKG Baby Hat- done!

Baby hat from Last Minute Knitted Gifts. I used Berroco Touche for this. Really easy pattern, and gorgeous yarn. I made the newborn size and when I finished it looked TINY. But it fit the one month baby girl it was made for with growing room to spare. :)

Felted Hat

This is one of many felted hats I made, used a Fiber Trends pattern, but really wish I hadn't bought this particular pattern. I have since made the brim a bit wider and floppier. For this hat I used knitpicks Sierra in Natural.

My favorite photo of my husband, taken in New Orleans. It's true what they say about grief moving in and never leaving. I'm just hoping one day I'll be able to see it as an old friend as opposed to seeing it like that insane roommate I had when I first moved to Boston. She made me feel like I'd lose my mind, and so does the grief of missing my love. Some of the time.

So Many UFO's Around My House...

I've got a ton of projects on the needles, as usual. Can't ever seem to only knit one thing at a time...
I'm working on the Wild Stripes Baby Blanket for my friend April, who is expecting her first baby, a boy in May. I'm also making her a blanket with an intarsia frog pattern in cream and green with Berroco's Lullaby, which is so incredibly soft and fab to work with. I'm also working on a cabled hat for a friend's mum, a baby sweater, and newborn mittens. Have just started the stuffed bunny in Last Minute Knitted Gifts, which is one of my favorite pattern books. I've also just bought the yarn to make a bunny hat from the Stitch n' Bitch Nation book. Rock.

Missing Adam

My husband Adam was killed on August 8, 2005. He was 32, and we'd just celebrated our first wedding anniversary. He was stuck by an 87 year old woman driver and died 2 days later. He was the love of my life and the finest man I've ever known, apart from my dad and father in law. If you have elderly parents or grandparents... please... take the keys.
